BUSINESS / COMMERCIAL LITIGATION

While business litigation covers a broad scope of legal issues, the areas in which our law firm litigates includes but is not limited to breach of contract, debt collection, employment law, shareholder/member/partnership disputes, and federal, state and municipal violations. Our attorneys have represented clients in courts at the local, state and federal levels, depending on which court system has jurisdiction over the issues at hand. Litigation regarding employment law may address a host of concerns ranging from discrimination to violation of confidentially agreements to unlawful termination. Our attorneys provide both plaintiff and defendant representation regarding employment disputes. Shareholder/member/partnership disputes usually address conflicts over business operation, responsibilities, ownership rights and profit distribution. Our extensive experience in dealing with corporations and partnerships has given our law firm exceptional skills and in-depth knowledge in this area of litigation.

CONSTRUCTION LITIGATION

Construction is often subject to contract disputes which may arise over construction contracts, because of delayed work or due to other breaches of contract. Moreover, construction issues not addressed in a contract may later result in dispute and require litigation to arrive at a favorable resolution.

In addition to contract dispute litigation, our attorneys handle the filing and removal of construction liens. Construction lien removal may become appropriate when a builder has not paid subcontractors, and when work is defective or not being completed in a timely manner. Legal advice on how to proceed in matters concerning contractors who do not remediate or complete work as well as legal action for removal of construction liens allows clients to either get work completed to their satisfaction or contract with other builders.

REAL ESTATE LITIGATION

We also resolve matters in zoning, variances, discrepancies in records, and land use, such as the legality of easements, when these issues come under dispute.

As in any contract, a contract of sale is legally binding and parties to the contract have agreed to adhere to the contract’s terms and conditions. A. Schancupp & Associates, L.L.C. effectively represents clients to resolve the matters concerning breach of contract of sale.
